Rotary Cutter / “TDT” Tape Delivery Table

2 – Stream Rotary Cutter

The SI 2 - Stream Rotary Cutter is designed for receiving 2 – streams of inline folded products side-by-side for producing up to 5 – around products out each with chip removal as required for producing inline finished products for direct-mail and other commercial applications. The unit is independently servo driven with the servo motor, software and controls provided by SI.

Standard basic features include:

(2) stream capability
Entrance fold hold roller assembly
Driven textured entrance draw rolls with upper and lower nip wheels
Helical gear drive train with anti-backlash gear for cut accuracy
Knife location arm with replaceable locator tips and safety interlock
Hard chrome plated 2-around anvil cylinder super finished for long lasting cutting surface life
(15) gallon temperature controlled forced oil lubrication system to the main bearings for thermal stabilization
Computer controlled push button “on-the-run” knife adjustment
Push through pin capability in the anvil cylinder with pin support rods for heavy chips

Additional standard features include:

Swivel mount information display panel with readouts
“On-Demand” product length change using the Knife Positioning Program (KPP)
5 - around capability with .25” minimum chip for full web
Non-contact air chip removal system with vacuum hood
Automatic lubrication system
Manual machine side lay +/- 1” adjustment

Cassette cylinder section for multi-cutoff capability
Dedicated cover production components including 20” wide standard knife blocks and spacers

“TDT” Tape Delivery Table

The SI “TDT” Tape Delivery Table is designed for use with inline, offline and cover production applications. The unit is independently servo driven with the servo motor, software and controls provided by SI.

The system significantly improves your finishing operation by eliminating jam-ups and unscheduled stops often associated with other delivery systems which results in less spoilage, increased overall running speeds and shorter on-press production times.

Standard basic features include:

First stage fast tape section for product gap spacing
Common side-lay of upper and lower fast tapes
Two stage wide belt slow down tables
Head stop wheels for control of shingled products
“On-the-fly” manual second stage height adjustment
Power assist roll back

Pattern Perforator

Pattern Perforators are designed for applying perforation patterns in the web direction or across the web, producing retail coupons for tear outs.

Remoist Pattern Gluer

Remoist Pattern Gluers are designed for applying remoistenable glue patterns for products such as envelopes and personalized documentation for return mailings on a continuous web as an inline operation.

Wet Flap Gluer

Wet Flap Gluers are commonly found in offline and inline applications after the angle bar deck or first plow folder and are designed for applying glue to produce closed end wrappers / spot coating / or to apply “scratch off scents” such as perfume.

UV Coater

UV Coaters are designed for applying various types of dull, high-gloss and textured UV cured coatings on products such as magazine covers, direct-mail, digital inkjet, packaging/folding carton, printed forms and retail inserts on a continuous web as an inline operation.

Imaging Tower

Imaging Towers are designed to house Inkjet Heads used to apply variable data like addressing, bar codes, Logos and full color advertisements via digital inkjet imaging using water base inks for products such as direct-mail, personalized letters and retail coupons.

Angle Bar Deck

Angle Bar Decks located before an inline or offline will slit a full web into ribbons to create multiple page products.

Prefolder

Prefolders + press folder = additional tabloids, broad sheets & plow folded products.

Portable Shear Slitter

Shear Slitters are used to trim the thumb edge and or backbone of a product in line with finishing systems.

Portable 20” Ribbon Gluer

Portable Ribbon Gluers can be moved to various locations throughout a line as needed and are designed for applying glue or other substrates to ribbons up to 20" anywhere across the web.

Full Width / Segmented Die Cutter

Full Width and Segmented Die Cutters are designed for producing products such as envelope windows, peel offs, contour shapes, and other products such as door hangers from a continuous web as an inline operation.

Rotary Cutter / “TDT” Tape Delivery Table

Rotary Cutters and Tape Delivery Tables complete and deliver the “End Product” prior to being packaged for shipment.

Closed End Mailer

Closed end mailers, also commonly know as “Inserters” or “Onserters,” produce finished “Mailers” to be mailed to the addressee.

Scoring Module

The SI Scoring Module is designed for creasing or scoring grooved patterns in the web direction onto heavy stocks to assist with other downstream inline perforation or folding processes used for creating various products inline.
